Teaching Objectives
The kindergarten strongly emphasizes whole-person education. Our goal is to enable children to achieve a balanced development in the spiritual, ethical, intellectual, physical, social and aesthetic education.
Course Design
The kindergarten curriculum is designed to be “child-centered”. At the same time, we do make reference on the “Kindergarten Education Curriculum Guide” and to draw out the outline of the course. Our school’s curriculum is designed in a comprehensive manner, outdoor visit and diversified activities are compiled according to the content of the curriculum and which help enrich children's life experience. Our curriculum includes games, personal experience, exploration, discussion, observation and recording. Through the above activities, it can enable young children to develop their interest, confidence, creativity, develops their potentials and help them to build a foundation for further self-learning.
Course Content
The content of the course takes into account the development of children in all aspects. Teachers use a variety of teaching materials and teaching aids to arrange an environment that can stimulate children’s interest in learning, allowing them to explore freely and acquire different kinds of knowledge, skills and attitudes in a relaxed and pleasant environment. The learning content is selected from real-life themes, it can offer an interesting learning experiences for our children and help them connect what they have learned with their everyday life experience. The story-approach that underpins our curricular structure provides our children with a wide range of playful learning activities. These learning activities will serve well to build children’s confidence and foster their language learning.
Evaluation Mechanism
Effective assessment can reflect children’s performance on learning and development, and provide children with positive feedback, helping them to identify the areas for improvement. Thus, our school’s teachers will make assessments through continuous observation, records and analysis in their actual learning environment for young children. We will use assessment forms and family life performance questionnaires to assess the physical and emotional development of young children and to develop appropriate learning plans for them.
